The “beautiful game” is coming to the beautiful city of Toronto.

Toronto is home to more than three million people whose diversity and experiences make this great city Canada’s leading economic engine and one of the world’s most diverse and livable cities. As the fourth largest city in North America, Toronto is a proud host city for the FIFA World Cup 26™ along with 15 others in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Embodying the “The World in a City” theme, Toronto showcases its passion for soccer and multicultural identity. The City’s diverse neighbourhoods, united by a profound love for soccer, eagerly anticipate welcoming fans from around the world.

Official Match Schedule

The City of Toronto will host six matches in the FIFA World Cup 26™, kicking off on June 12, 2026, with the first-ever men’s FIFA World Cup™ match on Canadian soil and featuring Canada’s Men’s National Team. Toronto is also hosting a round of 32 match on July 2, 2026.

The eagerly awaited FIFA World Cup 26™ Final, is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026, in New Jersey.

The FIFA World Cup 26™ Final Draw taking place late in 2025 will decide match pairings and kick-off times.

Toronto on the World Stage

With more countries, cities, teams and matches, the FIFA World Cup 26™ is expected to be the most inclusive and diverse sporting event ever, uniting the entire world on a vast stage and engaging millions of fans across 16 stadiums and billions worldwide.​

The games and their legacy are expected to generate significant economic, cultural and community benefits for Toronto by creating thousands of jobs, welcoming visitors from across the globe and generating hundreds of millions of dollars in local gross domestic product.

The tournament is also expected to drive growth in local participation in soccer through role models, enhanced playing facilities, and improved coaching and organizing capacities as legacies beyond the next three years.
