The City of Toronto operates seven Transfer Stations which have Drop-Off Depots used to collect, sort and transfer all the City’s waste. Residents can also use these depots to dispose of their unwanted items.
Please note:
- A safe motorized vehicle is required to drop off waste for disposal and all loads must be properly secured. Walk-ins, bicycles and manual transportation devices are not permitted. Any unsafe vehicles or unsecured loads will be refused entry.
- A deposit will be required before you are allowed to dispose of your material. Please pay by cash, credit card or debit card. The deposit amount will depend on the estimated size of your load and the type of material. A minimum $40 deposit will be required for all loads.
- During peak periods (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) priority is given to City-operated and contracted vehicles operating on behalf of the City.
- Sites operating overnight are required to complete end-of-day procedures between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, therefore there may be minor delays during this period.
