WHEREAS authority is given to Council by Section 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended, to pass this By-law;
AND WHEREAS Council of the former City of Scarborough has provided adequate information to the public and has held at least one public meeting in accordance with the Planning Act;
Now, therefore, the Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. Amendment No. 1003 to the Official Plan for the former City of Scarborough, consisting of the attached map designated as Schedule AI@, and text, is hereby adopted.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make application to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for approval of this amendment.

AMENDMENT NO. 1003 TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN
OF THE
CITY OF TORONTO
KEYVAN ONTARIO LIMITED
The following Text and Map designated Schedule "I" constitutes Amendment No. 1003, to the Official Plan for the former City of Scarborough being an amendment to the provisions of the Secondary Plan for the Oakridge Employment District. The sections headed "Purpose and Location", and "Basis" are explanatory only, and shall not constitute part of this amendment.
PURPOSE AND LOCATION:
The purpose of this amendment is to add an Industrial Commercial designation in addition to the existing General Industrial Uses with High Performance Standards designation.
This amendment affects lands located on the south side of the Danforth Road and Birchmount Road intersection, as shown on the attached Schedule A1".
BASIS:
This property has frontages on both Birchmount Road and Danforth Road. Expanding the permitted uses on these lands will provide greater degree of flexibility to market the development of this site. The proposed amendments would accommodate development that would be compatible and consistent with the existing land uses along Danforth Road, as well as existing developments within the vicinity of Danforth and Birchmount Roads.
OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT:
A. The Oakridge Employment District Secondary Plan Land Use Maps Figure 4.45 is amended for the lands located on the south side of the Danforth Road and Birchmount Road intersection, by adding Numbered Policy No. 5, as shown on attached Schedule I.
B. The Oakridge Employment District Secondary Plan is amended by adding Numbered Policy 5 as follows:
5. South side of the Danforth Road and Birchmount Road intersection
In addition to the General Industrial Uses with High Performance Standards designation, the Industrial Commercial designation shall apply.

WHEREAS authority is given to Council by Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended, to pass this By-law;
AND WHEREAS Council of the former City of Scarborough has provided adequate information to the public and has held at least one public meeting in accordance with the Planning Act;
Now, therefore, the Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. Schedule AA@ of the Oakridge Employment District is amended by deleting the current zoning and substituting the following zoning as shown on Schedule A1" attached to this by-law.
