4.CEDARVALE TRAFFIC CALMING PLAN, Ward 28, York-Eglinton.

Advising that: (1) residents be polled to determine their opinion on various traffic calming
measures throughout the final stages of implementation of the Cedarvale Traffic Calming
Plan; (2) from the feedback received, the preferred method of mid-block traffic calming is the
speed hump rather than the pinch point; and (3) staff edit a poll letter which has been provided
as an example.
5.TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES ON HOLLAND PARK AVENUE,

Advising that a meeting had been held with local residents to address a number of traffic
concerns and requesting that staff investigate and report directly back directly to residents
regarding the feasibility of: (1) installing speed humps on Holland Park Avenue; (2) installing
stop signs at Robina Avenue and Cedric Avenue; (3) road narrowing at intersections to stop
cars from travelling the wrong way; (4) implementing alternate side parking on Holland Park
during the months of April to September; and (5) reverting traffic on Holland Park Avenue to
one way.

refuse this application.
14.FUTURE RESURFACING OF HALFORD AVENUE, Ward 27 - York-Humber.

Motion requesting the Commissioner of Works and Emergency Services to direct that all
future road repair projects on Halford Avenue respect the brick surface of the roadway and
that any future resurfacing of Halford Avenue be done in a manner consistent with the
original, historic nature of the road and that asphalt not be used.
15.2446-2448 BLOOR STREET WEST - APPLICATION FOR LIQUOR LICENCE;
Ward 27 - York-Humber.

Motion requesting that York Community Council not support the application for an extension
of the liquor licence to include an outdoor patio area as this would require narrowing of the
walkway along Bloor Street West which is not supported by local residents.

Recommending that: (1) the Official Plan for the former City of York be amended generally
in accordance with the draft Official Plan Amendment; (2) the Zoning By-law 1-83 for the
former City of York be amended generally in accordance with the draft Zoning By-law and
worded to the satisfaction of the City Solicitor; (3) the introduction of Bills to adopt the
Official Plan Amendment and to pass the Zoning By-law be conditional upon: (a) the owner
making application for and receiving City approval to permit the existing multiple dwelling
house to encroach on the road allowance; (b) the owner arranging for an inspection of the
premises by the City Building Division inspectors and City Fire Prevention Division
inspectors; (c) the Building Division, West District, and the Fire Prevention Division advising
that the premises comply with Building Code and Fire Code requirements; (d) the owner
submitting a revised site plan to illustrate the provision of an additional parking space in the
rear yard adjoining the existing private garage; and (e) Toronto Hydro advising that
satisfactory arrangements have been made to satisfy their requirements.
