city-owned transit shelter to remain on private property; said agreement being for a nominal sum and containing such terms

2. TRAFFIC STUDIES IN THE COMMUNITY SOUTH OF

15. STOPPING UP AND CLOSING PART OF ORIGINAL ROAD ALLOWANCE

(2) notice be given of the City's intent to dispose of the lands by conveying them to the adjoining property owner for $1.00,
subject to the purchaser paying the costs associated with advertising the closing; and
(3) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.

Responding to a request by the Scarborough LACAC for review and recommendation respecting the designation of the
Scarborough Civic Centre and the Albert Campbell Square as a heritage site within the meaning of the Ontario Heritage
Act, and recommending that this request be referred to the working group of the Office Consolidation Sub-committee
dealing with the Scarborough Civic Centre.
17. BURMA STAR ASSOCIATION
MONUMENT ON THE ALBERT CAMPBELL SQUARE

18. APPROVED CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT AT GREY ABBEY PARK

Responding to Community Council's request that the construction of a proposed barrier in Grey Abbey Park be delayed as
a result of a petition received from local residents; providing information as to community meetings held on this issue in
1999; and recommending that:
(1) staff advise the contractor to proceed with the contract, as awarded, at a cost of $50,043.00, to erect the post and cable
barriers along the edge of the Scarborough Bluffs and install the roadside bollards at Grey Abbey Park to ensure the safety
of park users; and
(2) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
19. CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS 2000 IN THE EAST DISTRICT

Responding to a request by the Chair of the Scarborough Community Council to investigate the inclusion of a fireworks
display for the July 1, 2000 Canada Day Celebrations in the East District, and recommending that:
(1) staff investigate the expansion of the Canada Day Program in the Parks and Recreation Division East District by adding
a fireworks display on the evening of July 1, 2000;
(2) Milliken Park, located at Steeles Avenue and McCowan Road, be the selected location for the fireworks, subject to the
approval of the Fire Department;
(3) staff secure the necessary sponsorship to totally offset the costs for set-up, security and the fireworks display;
(4) the decision to have the fireworks display be dependent upon the sponsorship funding; and
(5) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
20. USE OF ALBERT CAMPBELL SQUARE FOR
COMMUNITY EVENTS AND FESTIVALS

Square, and recommending that:
(1) to enhance the usage of Albert Campbell Square, the Parks and Recreation Division East District create a promotion
and marketing plan to increase awareness and the benefits of hosting events at this location on a cost recovery basis; and
(2) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.

of Subdivision T84021, and that a minimum of thirty new trees, each with an 80 millimetre diameter be planted on the
boulevard as replacements.

Recommending that City Council:
(1) amend the Intensity of Use provisions of L'Amoreaux Community Zoning By-law No. 12466, as amended, as it applies
to the subject properties only, by deleting the existing Intensity of Use Standard (a maximum of one single-family dwelling
is permitted per lot as shown on the Registered Plan) and replacing it with the following:
(a) for all odd-numbered properties from 97 to 111 Fairglen Avenue (inclusive) and 115 to 125 Fairglen Avenue
(inclusive); all even-numbered properties from 2084 to 2104 Pharmacy Avenue (inclusive); and 2110 & 2112 Pharmacy
Avenue:
"A maximum of one dwelling unit is permitted per parcel of land having a minimum frontage of 19 metres on a public
street and a minimum area of 1050 square metres.";
(b) for 40 and 42 Huntingwood Drive and 95 Fairglen Avenue:
"A maximum of one dwelling unit is permitted per parcel of land having a minimum frontage of 24 metres on a public
street and a minimum area of 900 square metres."; and
(2) authorize such unsubstantive technical, stylistic or format changes as may be necessary to the Zoning By-law to
properly carry out the intent of this resolution.
24. CITY-INITIATED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT SW1994073 AND
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION SC-Z19990045 AND

LANDS IN AND ABUTTING EAST METRO TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR

Recommending that City Council:
(1) Official Plan:
(a) amend the Rouge Employment District Secondary Plan by deleting the words "in view of special Provincial
transportation proposals" from Policy 4.47.2.4;
(b) amend the Rouge Community Secondary Plan by deleting all references to the EMTC and replacing Numbered Policy 2
with the following:
"2. North Side of Highway 401, East of Conlins Road
If the subject lands are not required for transportation purposes in the future, the land may be used for Low Density
Residential purposes without further amendment to this plan.";
(c) amend the Malvern Community Secondary Plan by:
(i) redesignating the Milne House property and the lands designated as EMTC, save and except for the portion referenced
in Clause 1.3.(c)(iii) affected by Numbered Policy 6, as Regional Natural Environment and transferring them to the Upper
Rouge Community;
(ii) deleting Neighbourhood No. 3 Policy 14.1 and renumbering the remainder of Policy 14;
(iii) replacing Numbered Policy 6 with the following:
"6. South Side of Old Finch Avenue, west of Sewells Road:
Low Density Residential uses are permitted on these lands unless the privately-owned property is acquired for Rouge Park,
in which case a Regional Natural Environment designation will apply and the lands will be incorporated into the Upper
Rouge Community without further amendment to this plan.";
(iv) deleting the Special Uses Area designation west of Sewells Road, the Temporary Connection designation for Old
Finch Avenue, and the Neighbourhood Park designation within the former EMTC;
(d) amend the Upper Rouge Community Secondary Plan by incorporating the lands referenced in Clause 1(c) above;
(2) authorize such unsubstantive technical, stylistic or format changes to the Official Plan as may be necessary to give
effect to this resolution; and
(3) request the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to now repeal Minister's Zoning Order 20/74 as it applies to
lands within the City of Toronto.

(2) that City Council request the Province of Ontario to consider the acquisition of the Anndale lands and their conveyance
to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority as part of the Rouge Park.
