Confirmation of Minutes

 

On motion by Earl H. Straus, the Minutes of the meeting of the Property Standards Committee held on May 25, 2009, were confirmed.

Property Standards Committee, Scarborough Panel:

 

1.         Confirmed the Order to Comply (April 29, 2009) for the subject property, subject to granting an extension of time to October 1, 2009.

Appeal of Order to Comply (April 29, 2009) for the property known as 399 Markham Road.

Property Standards Committee, Scarborough Panel:

 

1.         Confirmed the Order to Comply (May 7, 2009) for the subject property.

Appeal of Order to Comply (May 7, 2009) for the property known as 41 Marsh Road.

Property Standards Committee (Scarborough Panel):

 

1.         Confirmed Items 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, and 23 listed on Schedule ‘A’ of the Order to Comply (April 30, 2009).

 

2.         Granted an extension of time for Items 5, (Laundry Room – inoperable dryer) Item 6 Laundry Room – Washroom (working condition and made available for tenants), 7 – Lobby (missing drain cover) to be completed by July 15, 2009.

 

3.         Granted an extension of time for Item 10 (Throughout Building) – the ventilation system, to be completed on or before October 15, 2009.

 

4.         Granted an extension of time for Items 12 and 20 (Throughout the Building) wall(s), public area, where marks, stains, graffiti, and/or other defacements, to be maintained in good repair and be completed on or before December 1, 2009.

 

5.         Granted an extension of time for Item 11 (Lobby and throughout building) The floor and every appurtenant surface cover and finish, namely deteriorated and damaged linoleum tiles to be completed on or before January 20, 2010.

 

6.         Granted an extension of time for Items 4, (Interior of Building where required) The minimum level of 200 lux (18.6 foot candles), Item 19 (Service and Utility and or laundry rooms and Item 21 (the average level of 50 lux. (4.6 candles) to be completed on or before April 20, 2010.

 

Appeal of Order to Comply (April 30, 2009) for the property known as 207 Morningside Avenue.

Property Standards Committee, Scarborough Panel:

 

1.         Confirmed the Order to Comply (April 28, 2009) for the subject property.

No one appeared on behalf of the Appellant.

Appeal of Order to Comply (April 28, 2009) for the property known as 711 Kennedy Road.

Property Standards Committee (Scarborough Panel):

 

1.         Confirmed Items 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 listed on Schedule 'A' of the Order to Comply (Interior)(May 29, 2009), with the exception to Item 15, on condition no public access permitted in the vacant and unused service and utility rooms 6, 7, 8 and 9, subject to these rooms being brought up to standard if unlocked or reused.

 

2.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 4 and 7 to August 15 , 2009.

 

3.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 9 and 12 to December 15, 2009, with exception to Item 12 - handrail in boiler room which is rescinded.

Property Standards Committee (Scarborough Panel):

 

1.         Confirmed Items 2, 3, 7, 8, and 14 listed on Schedule 'A' of the Order to Comply (Exterior)(May 19, 2009).

 

2.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 12 and 13 to August 15, 2009, on condition that areas are made safe in the meantime to the satisfaction of the City as a temporary measure to meet safety requirements and Item 13 subject to Engineer's Report.

 

3.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 10 and 11 to June 15, 2010, on condition that areas are made safe in the meantime to the satisfaction of the City as a temporary measure to meet safety requirements.

 

 4.        Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 4, 5, and 6 to August 31, 2012, subject to a Professional Engineer's report with recommendations.

 

5.         Rescinded Items 1 and 9.

 

Appeal of Order to Comply (May 19, 2009) for the property known as 1600 Sandhurst Circle, Exterior.

Property Standards Committee (Scarborough Panel):

 

1.         Confirmed Items 2, 8, 17 and 18 listed on Schedule 'A' of the Order to Comply (Underground Parking Area/Garage) (May 19, 2009).

 

2.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 3, 4 and 7 to December 15, 2009.

 

3.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 6 and 9 to August 15, 2009.

 

4.         Granted an extension of time to complete the work for Items 1, 5, 10, 11, 12, and 13 to April 27, 2013, subject to the Engineer's Report and Addendum to the satisfaction of the City.

 

5.         Rescinded Items 14, 15, and 16.
