The Sign Variance Committee refused the following four separate requested variances to Chapter 694, Signs, General, required to allow Maxximum Outdoor Inc. to make an application for a sign permit to allow the erection and display at the south-westerly corner of the premises at 1581-1589 The Queensway of one third party ground sign:
1. variance requested from §694-22. A. to permit the erection of a third party ground sign to display electronic static copy.
2. variance requested from §694-24. A.(1) to permit the erection of a third party ground sign to be located approximately 17m from the Gardiner Expressway.
3. variance requested from §694-25. B.(1) (a) to permit the erection of a third party ground sign with a sign face area of each of the two sign faces of 62.43 square metres.
4. variance requested from §694-25. B.(1) (b) to permit the erection of a third party ground sign with a height of 21m. |

The Sign Variance Committee held a public hearing on July 27, 2010, and notice was given in accordance with Chapter 694, Signs, General, of the Toronto Municipal Code. |
