Parking violations are issued to help reduce traffic congestion while enforcing City parking bylaws and regulations.

Go to the parking violation lookup.

Within 15 days of the violation notice date, you will need the:

  • Parking Violation Number and Licence Plate

16 to 30 days from the violation notice date, parking violations can also be looked up using:

  • Driver’s licence number
  • Registrant identification number (RIN)

Note that non-Ontario licence plate holders must always use violation number and licence plate for the lookup. Handwritten violations may take 5 to 10 days to appear in the system.

Most parking violation notices are uploaded into the system automatically within minutes of issuance and are available for vehicle owners to look up, pay or dispute.

For handwritten parking violation notices, please allow 5 to 10 days to appear in the parking violation lookup. Check back frequently so you can pay your violation by the due date.

Alternatively, payment for parking violations can be made in-person or by mail.

The parking violation lookup only contains violations issued within the city of Toronto. For violations in other municipalities, please refer to their respective websites. For personalized or vanity licence plates containing the letter “O”, or the number “0”(zero), you may need to try searching using both the letter and number. For example, plate number is FORMAT, enter plate using FORMAT and/or F0RMAT.

Options to Dispute

No, you cannot dispute a parking violation once a payment has been made.

Once a full or partial payment is made, the matter is no longer eligible to dispute.

If a request to dispute has already been submitted, the request to dispute will be cancelled once a payment has been made.

  • Family Day
  • Good Friday
  • Victoria Day
  • Canada Day
  • Simcoe Day
  • Labour Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
